Overview
Bill Richardson Transport World is the largest private automotive collection of its type in the world.
With a staggering collection of vintage vehicles - more than 300 of them, in fact - and nostalgic memorabilia that encourages guests to take a walk down memory lane, Bill Richardson Transport World is privileged to be able to preserve celebrated vehicles, stories, and pieces of history.
The thoughtful and carefully-considered development of the collection ensures every visitor - regardless of their interest in classic vehicles - experiences something truly special when they step foot in our museum.

Notes for Cardholders
Standing and Queuing
Please take a seat in the foyer area, which can be used by guests for waiting. Identify your Hāpai card to our staff, and our front-of-house (FOH) staff will assist you by serving you at your seat.
Level Access
Our building has level access throughout, including one lift and two accessibility parking onsite. The best entrance is our main entrance.
Distances
Our building is large, however, there is plenty of seating throughout that you are welcome to use. We have two accessibility parking onsite. We have an onsite wheelchairs(s) available for you to use which can be booked in advance or speak with one of our team when you arrive and they will do their best to assist you.
Urgent Toilet Access
We have two accessible toilets and multiple of standard toilets. If you present this icon to us we will ensure you are next to use the toilet in a discrete way.
Disability Assist Dogs
We comply with the NZ law with respect to Disability Assistance Dogs. The staff will offer you water for your dog and will indicate the nearest place for the dog to relieve itself.
Essential Companions
For cardholders with this icon we are happy to offer a free companion ticket. In order to book this, please give us a call on 0800 151 252.
Difficulty Accessing Visual Information
Through the training, the staff are well-informed about adapting their communication and assisting individuals who are blind or have low vision. They can assist you to a seat and guide you to a toilet if required.
Difficulty Accessing Audible Information
Through the training that the staff have done with the Hāpai Access Card, they are aware of how they can modify how they communicate with you. This includes making sure you can see their face when speaking, speaking clearly, use of pen and paper and being patient.
Hidden Disabilities
Through the staff's training they are generally aware of hidden disabilities, please speak to them about how they can assist in making your time with us extraordinary.
